We’re very pleased with our RK entrance doors. The quality and finish are excellent, and they feel solid and well made. The survey and installation teams were professional, friendly and helpful on both visits, and everything was handled carefully and efficiently. We also had a cat flap incorporated at the manufacturing stage, which has worked perfectly for us. We chose an orange geometric design with coordinating etched side panels and absolutely love the finished result - it gives a real contemporary designer feel and makes a striking first impression. I have used RK doors for many years. , the quality of the products are unbeatable. The service is top notch. Ailsa C27/10/2024We have just completed the renovation of our home in Aberdeen. We couldn't find the 'right' front door with our local suppliers, then someone put us on to RK Doors. The fact we weren't able to visit the showroom was no hindrance at all. We started with the online configurator and then Graham Brittain contacted us. We shared photos and drawings of our house and with Graham's help we got the perfect door, complete with letterbox! RK's impeccable service didn't stop there. The door had to be manufactured and sent to Aberdeen, to arrive on schedule for our project. The team at RK were great. There was regular communication to ensure it all went smoothly. After 4 years of constant use, the fingerprint scanner needed repairing. Jason came out and repaired it very swiftly. After numerous visit's back and forth to the showroom looking at different options and colours, nothing was too much trouble for Graham. He guided us through various options and colours to ensure we arrived at exactly what we were after. When the order was complete Tressy kept us fully up to date on possible dates for fitting and guided through the next process. On the day of installation Jason and the team arrived and provided a first class professional fit, Jason explaining the process from start to finish. Any slight issue and adjustment was dealth with swiftly and without any needed interaction on my part. When they had finished, they cleaned and left us with no evidence they had even been there. The online Door Design tool is fantastic and enabled us to visualise all the different choices of configuration on our house, the options really are endless. Julie was so helpful in advising the best choices to enable us to get our door within budget. Andrew O'Dwyer17/06/2022This journey started a year ago I was looking for new front porch door, how difficult could it be. I trawled the internet & visited various door companies and to be quite honest was shocked at the prices. I eventually found RK doors and the fact they had a showroom to visit made a difference and BEN, sales rep on-site was thankfully not a typical smarmy slick Arthur Daley, in fact quite the opposite urging me to go think about my initial design. I think I redesigned the door approx 8 times. The more research I did I came to understand that the pricing was competitive having received further quote from other companies from solid wood to composite however these options offered run of the mill doors I saw in every street around where I live. I’d refurbished a house to my own spec and design and was looking for something individual. The other aspect was the quality and manufacturing of built in access control, I have a teenage boy and the fingerprint access control built in became a must have, speaking to parents with teenagers I realised how much they spent on lost keys and sometimes barrel changes. I spent 3-4 months designing and redesigned my door of choice and Ben had a big impact on making sure I was fully committed to my design, I placed my order and then tweaked the design yet again, all this tweaking and not once did Ben loose patience with me. As Ben pointed out “ it’s a lot of money and you have to live with it a long time” Deposit paid order placed and YES a final change in design of the glazing, haha, this will test them but again not an issue other than delaying my door delivery date. My door was delivered on time bar a week, considering I started lookin the year before I was happy. The pictures show my design and extra trims around brickwork which I added myself to finish the job off, purely my choice rather than render. I very rarely write reviews but on this occasion I have to praise Ben at RK doors for his constant professional behaviour and I felt like we really worked this project together and at no point did I get the hard sell. My tip is, you will find cheaper doors, at cheaper quality but if you want a door that reflects your house standard and individuality you won’t find better value for money, I looked everywhere. I’ve actually had neighbours knock on my door to complement me on such a fab design door.+1Posted on Google

Great style, robust construction, strong security and perfect finish - all far superior to cheaper alternatives. The whole process has been easy and painless, with excellent advice from Julie at Truro, and fitters Shane, Jason and two other colleagues who cheerfully worked all day despite pouring rain. They clearly take a pride in their work and the standard of finish was faultless. Shane returned next day to attend to details and fully explained locks and maintenance. After all it’s the first thing visitors see. RK Doors have some of the best doors we’ve ever come across, pure quality and amazing designs! Av Bains28/11/2018After thinking about it for a long time we decided to replace our existing front door and back door with new ones. We obtained quotes from a number of different companies and, although they were all in the same ballpark, it soon became obvious that we'd get a much higher quality door from RK Doors than elsewhere, so that's who went with. The company itself was very helpful (and patient!) in making sure that I had thought of every little detail when specifying the door and this positive attitude showed through all stages of the process. They helped me make sure that the door delivery was coordinated with the builders' (varying) schedule. The delivery men negotiated our steep driveway and narrow pathways without complaint and made sure I was happy with everything before they left. And when we had an issue with one of the doors, they sent their fitters out to check it over and get it fixed without hesitation, despite it being a 7 hour round trip! To me that's the difference between an average company and a great company - how they respond when something goes wrong and RK Doors responded brilliantly. As for the doors themselves, we love them! Solid, well built, they keep out the noise and keep the heat in. My only regret is that we hadn't gotten them sooner!Posted on Google

We now have a beautiful new door fitted by RK door systems. The product is expensive but it really does make a difference both in visual looks and in security. They showed real pride in, and expert knowledge of, the product itself - both how it is made and how it should be fitted. And they were just great people -cheerful, helpful, friendly and professional. It was a pleasure dealing with them. I have also had close dealings with two other colleagues and can say the same of them too. As for the door itself ....well... Feel very secure and insulative. Elliot was extremely patient with us as we are very particular. The doors had a bespoke height lower panel, different specification of hinges and non-standard dual colours. Only drawback was manufacture time. Julie and her team at the office are extremely knowledgeable, and explained every option available to us. The door arrived as planned in 8 to 10 weeks and is superb quality, typical of all things German. The install guys, (Jason and his mate, sorry forgot his name) were excellent and very, very tidy workers, a pleasure to have in our home, they removed and disposed of the old door and glass and had the new door in all in the day. They got the door installed with minimal decoration needed inside and made good the render on the outside of the building, that just needs painting, excellent workmanship and cannot recommend RK doors highly enough. It was an excellent find on a Google search when I just typed in "modern front doors", its exactly what we wanted, the door configurator on the web site was excellent and when I looked into it more, just by chance, they were local as well. Keeley Harris17/10/2017As interior designers and property refurbishers for over 20 years, we have installed many front doors for clients from nearly every manufacturer of timber, composite, pvc and aluminium products. When it came to replacing our own front doors, we wanted a smart modern design that would withstand the hot West-facing sunshine, and decided to try the aluminium doors from RK Door Systems. Whilst more expensive than composite and timber, you get what you pay for 100%. We are so very pleased with our new door set and have no hesitation in recommending the company and their products. The online Door Configurator is a superb tool that we show clients to help them visualise the door and the optional details. We went with the Entre door collection, and a glass sidelight matching the door grooves, and added the digital door viewer and some stainless steel protection. The door was delivered by RK themselves with two lovely drivers, and unpacked for our inspection, and the photos didn't do it justice, it is of exceptional quality. The door feels so substantial and secure, closes with a satisfying but very quiet clunk, the hidden fixings are great, and it was a breeze to fit. We will definitely be recommending these doors to all of our customers from now on. It is hard to get excited over a front door, but these products really are spectacular!+2Posted on Google

I found Karen to be not only helpful but knowledgable of the product as well. On a technical question she picked up the phone to a colleague and the question was answered there and then. As I live in the Channel Islands the door had to be shipped, the RK team at Truro did a great job in palletising the door and it has arrived safely. I am writing this before I have unwrapped the door and fitted it. Look out for a supplementary review when I will upload a photo of the installation complete. They are just fabulous, and transform the look of the house. Glenn Collins16/07/2017We first met Ian RK Doors in 2014 at a show in Birmingham when we were looking to replace a front door which was less then 2 years old because of persistant water leaks which the supplier could not resolve in the end we decided to cut our losses and replace this door. We then spent a lot of time going to different shows and on the Internet for a company who could supply and fit a modern looking product that would give us the wow factor and no maintenance required during the life of the door with the highest level of security for peace of mind enter Ian who we met in Birmingham and at the time we did realise he owned the company, he spent a lot of time showing us the different designs his company manufactured and the construction of the the aluminium door panels with the insulation materials used. Ian personally came to measure up the door and side panels when we explained the problems we had with the last supplier, some weeks later the door was delivered and installed by his 2 man team they removed the exsisting door which they cleared from site (big job) and installed our new door and side panels the standard of workmanship by the team was first class and to be honest l was very nervous about the old door being removed and any possible damage done to the surrounding area which did not happen. Today we have had this door for 3 years and we are still very happy with our choice of supplier and design and the complements we have received shows this door has wow factor.Posted on Google

Ian showed us through the range and different options in their extensive showroom and told us about the deals he could offer. As we didn't require it for a while they were happy to order it to secure the price and held it until we were ready to fit. The installer came out prior to fitting as we had some queries which we ran through and then returned a week later to fit which was done neatly and Efficiently. The installer noticed a slight flaw in the etched glass. This was reported and shortly after a replacement arrived and was fitted with no fuss whatsoever. My wife especially liked the way you could change the door options in the selection program. This helped a lot with getting it exactly right, colours and handles etc. . The chap who came to measure the door was helpful and knowledgeable. The installation was done on schedule and the workmen who did it made a good job, matching the cement patching that was needed for the surrounding sides. We have random stone cladding around the door, so no easy edges. I am pleased with the installation, nicely done and all cleaned away afterwards.Posted on Google

Keith Firn17/03/2017I write to commend and thank all at R K Doors for their services and customer support in relation to the RK5130 3D Premium Profile door and side screen set that we purchased (see photo). At the initial stages in our order there was a hiccup where a critical technical specification during the order did not translate to the door as delivered but the error was swiftly, amicably and very professionally dealt with by Ian, Elliot and Trish (thanks) in a manner that was reassuring enough for us to give RK Doors a second chance ... and I'm so glad we did. The Team at R K Doors worked with us very closely to make sure that we overcame the initial issue and that we received the premium door, screen and fittings we desired. I should add that I am a Chartered Building Surveyor for a living well accustomed to specifying and procuring works and can honestly say that the quality of the technical detailing, materials, engineering and design in the premium product we ordered/received is amazing and the quadruple glazed door and triple glazed side-screen are fantastically thermally efficient. The custom integral letter-box also finishes it off. The delivery process ran much more smoothly the second time and the door fitted into our new opening perfectly. Our independent contractors (not RK Doors) then fitted the door/screen but perhaps without the accuracy needed for the precision engineered (and very heavy) door resulting in it binding and not closing properly during operation, keeping it frustratingly out of use for two weeks. I also couldn't understand the German instructions that came with the door for the concealed hinge system we had ordered and so sought Ian's help. I have to say that Ian bent-over backwards for us and sent his greatly experienced fitters Jason and Paul over to us (a very much appreciated gesture of good-will) and they had our contractors' levelling/fitting issues worked out and rectified swiftly, quickly, cleanly and with minimal fuss so that our massively heavy door operates smoothly and seems as light as a feather and the locks operate with ease....Brilliant (Thank you so much J&P!). I am so glad that we didn't just walk away from the perfectly human and innocent original hiccup and am grateful for the reciprocal commitment and support shown by Ian and his team at R K Doors as that kind of customer support speaks volumes for the company. Ian has also shown that he is open to feedback and that too is appreciated. Ultimately, would I recommend RK Doors? Based on our experiences that would have to be an emphatic yes. The product is superb and easily lives up to the high-end specification and the personal and dedicated service we received was brilliant (even with an initial hiccup) so much so that we shall definitely be speaking to R K Doors again when we come to replace and upgrade our two sets of patio doors in the near future. John Amos24/01/2017Excellent customer service. I am a 24hr locksmith in Brighton. I had a customer having door locking problems on Christmas eve 2017. When I arrived the door was a custom bespoke door. The lock mechanism had a fault and needed a replacement. I tried two of my suppliers who are amongst the biggest in the UK they both said this was a special direct from factory order and would take some time to supply. I informed the home owner and asked if she could tell me who supplied the door. After some quick phone calls we found out the door was supplied and manufactured by R K Door systems. I contacted them and was asked to supply photos and measurements. I was able to give them everything they asked for including the original purchase order. I dealt with Elliot and he resolved the problem with in half an hour of contact. Even better he had a brand new mechanism on the shelf and arranged dispatch straight away. He also informed me that it was under warranty and that he would send it out free of charge. This is unheard of in the window stroke door industry and showed the highest level of customer service.
