RK traditional-style doors bring the proportions and detailing of classic panelled entrances together with the strength and stability of modern aluminium construction. Available in standard hinged or Pivot door opening.
Every door is made to order and designed for, or by you.... Panel layouts, mouldings, glazing, colour and ironmongery can be brought together to suit a period property, a sensitively renovated home or a new build with more traditional architecture.
Unlike a timber entrance door, an RK aluminium door will not swell, warp or require regular painting, staining or varnishing. It retains its carefully finished appearance together with PAS24: 2022 and Secure by Design accreditation as standard, highly insulated and durability expected from a modern entrance system.

Traditional detailing without the compromises of timber
The depth and character of a traditional door whether it's Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian depends on the quality of its details. RK doors are constructed in aluminium throughout, including the panel detailing and applied mouldings used on selected designs, this isn't the case from all manufacturers, some even use timber.
This creates a consistent, durable finish across the complete door and avoids combining an aluminium door leaf with timber details that may weather, move or require separate maintenance. The result is a substantial entrance with crisp lines, convincing depth and a finish designed to endure.
For a cleaner interpretation of a panelled door, selected designs use deep precision-machined grooves to create shadow and definition without applied mouldings.

All available as single doors, double doors and pivot door configurations, with sidelights and fanlights considered as part of the complete entrance.
The design can be refined through the panel proportions, moulding profile, glazing, colour and frame finish. Traditional colours sit comfortably with brick, stone and rendered elevations, while deep blacks and more individual RAL shades can give a classic design a sharper architectural character.

Highly insulated construction and weather-resistant materials help protect your property, while the stable aluminium door leaf continues to fit and operate consistently through changing seasons, never warping or expanding like a timber door.
RK aluminium doors are highly secure with PAS24: 2022 and Secure by Design accreditation as standard. Multipoint locking and robust aluminium construction provide modern protection without compromising the proportions or detailing of the design.
Fingerprint entry and smart-access options can also be incorporated where required, allowing traditional styling to be combined discreetly with keyless entry.

Traditional ironmongery in solid brass
The right ironmongery gives a traditional entrance its final sense of character. Choose from centre door knobs, ring and drop knockers, lever handles and complementary accessories, with designs ranging from restrained and architectural to more decorative period styles.
Our solid-brass ironmongery is available in polished, satin, antique, aged and living finishes. These details can be coordinated with the door colour and glazing or used as a deliberate contrast, from warm antique brass against black aluminium to polished nickel on a softer painted finish.

Unlike other suppliers who often construct mouldings from timber, all of our traditional doors are manufactured entirely from high-quality aluminium — right down to the mouldings. This ensures the finish is consistent, the structure is durable, and the doors maintain their luxurious beauty for years to come without the issues that timber alternatives can face.

Traditional Style Aluminium Pivot Door
This RK7090 Pivot aluminium door would look at home on both modern and traditional homes alike. The additional width of the door has been considered by carefully moving the 4 outer sections of beading outward to create a consistent and modest border. This perfectly balanced design creates an eye-catching grand entrance.
This aluminium door features our popular ES360 sunburst brass doorknob and fingerprint entry system for keyless access into the property. Our ES372 Regent doorknob would look equally fantastic here, as well as our other ironmongery choices which can be chosen to each customer’s taste.
Traditional 6 Panel Door - Made from Aluminium
We love the RK1950 with it's simplified take on a traditional 6 panel door. Classic mouldings and beading have been removed in favour of clean recesses and modern lines. You just can’t miss the oversized square doorknob! It looks dazzling in our antique bronze patina.
The door interior has been redesigned to compliment a light and airy interior and we feel is the perfect contrast to the jet-black exterior design. This design can be used for both a hinged and pivot door depending on preference.
Georgian Style Pivot Door - Made from Aluminium
Classic Georgian curves perfected by a modern powder-coated Black aluminium door. This elegant RK7060 Pivot door offers minimal maintenance whilst retaining a modern take on a traditional look.
The boutique aged Bronze ‘Sun Burst’ door knob adds a focal point to the overall design. Which we feel is required to balance the proportions of this oversized Pivot door.

Our current model uses a single outer moulding, with optional grooves or a raised panel inside. The older double-moulding design is still available as a bespoke option, but must be specifically requested when ordering. Victorian Style Aluminium Door
Our Victorian models are a perfect blend of modern materials and high security (Secured by Design and PAS24 accredited as standard). This RK1940 aluminium door compliments a recently renovated home in Cornwall perfectly. The ironmongery was personally selected to the client’s taste and the raised beadings and mouldings are made from German aluminium.
These will never need painting or maintenance, just the occasional wipe clean.

The handles come in a wide range of finishes, including solid brass, polished and satin chrome, polished and satin nickel, silver plated, antique gold, rose gold, polished copper, and black.
Additionally, we can also apply antique, aged, and living finishes to match your unique taste and style.

Standard Finishes
Our standard ‘electroplated’ finishes are used for both decorative and practical purposes. We apply a thin layer of metal to the substrate, in our case brass which ensures protection of the base metal and excellent resistance to corrosion and the elements. We offer a variety of electroplated finishes allowing flexibility to suit your door style.
Living, Antique & Aged Finishes
Our living, antique or aged finishes add that extra bit of character. Colour and texture variation is inherent in the creation of these hand finishes. Once installed the touch, time and environment will lead to gradual wear and oxidisation, thus imparting charm and elegance to your door furniture.
